“Properly practiced, knitting soothes the troubled spirit, and it doesn’t hurt the untroubled spirit either.”
― Elizabeth Zimmerman
Knitting is the balance of all things in my life. It is my joy, my refuge, and my strength. In a world that is fast paced and manic, I love that I can fall into an ancient tradition and slowly craft something beautiful.
I didn’t set out to become a designer, but the closer I got to the craft, the more I wanted to learn. I wanted to engage in a tradition that is as old as time. Reach back into the history of humanity and honor our mothers, as we move forward. I also want to honor the Earth. As a person who hails from the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, nature is my muse. It is my way to give back to the land that raised me. All of my patterns and designs are based on the natural world.
Knitting brings me back down to Earth when life gets too busy, and my mind flies off in multiple directions.
